PROCESSING OF JRC TAILORING ACTIONS

The JRC Executive Secretariat processes all requests to tailor JRC-related policy in the Acquisition Management System, which must be approved by the Acquisition Executive who currently is the Vice President, Acquisition and Business Services. The request must identify the AMS policy to be tailored and provide sufficient information to enable a sound decision by the Acquisition Executive. The request should be brief, but contain important facts relevant to the request. The JRC Secretariat provides both leadership and advice to program offices, integrated product teams, and business units requesting a tailoring action. The JRC Secretariat also maintains a case history of all tailoring actions.

Tailoring Process:

  • JRC Secretariat receives request from a program office, integrated product team, business unit, or investment analysis team to tailor AMS JRC requirements.
  • JRC Secretariat requests supporting information, analyzes factors and issues, and forwards the tailoring request to the Acquisition Executive.
  • JRC Secretariat informs the program office, integrated product team, business unit, or investment analysis team of the decision.
